How to Be Pagan or Wiccan in High School (With Minimal Problems)

From freem

Being Pagan or Wiccan in high school can be challenging due to potential social stigma and misunderstanding. However, there are ways to practice your beliefs with minimal problems:

1. Educate yourself: Learn as much as you can about your beliefs and practices, so you can confidently explain them to others if they ask. You can also use this knowledge to dispel any misconceptions about Paganism or Wicca that others may have.

2. Keep it private: You do not have to advertise your beliefs to everyone. Keep your altar and any ritual tools in a private space, such as your bedroom, and avoid talking about your beliefs with those who are not open-minded or respectful.

3. Find like-minded people: Seek out other Pagan or Wiccan students at your school or in your community. You can join a club, attend a gathering or event, or even start your own group.

4. Be respectful: Remember that not everyone will share your beliefs, and that is okay. Respect others' beliefs and opinions, and expect the same in return.

5. Stay safe: Unfortunately, discrimination and bullying can happen. If you feel unsafe or threatened in any way, seek help from a trusted adult, teacher, or counselor.

6. Be patient: Change takes time, and it may take some time for others to understand and accept your beliefs. Be patient and continue to educate those around you.

Remember, you have the right to practice your beliefs, and you should never feel ashamed of who you are. With a little education and patience, you can practice your Pagan or Wiccan beliefs with minimal problems in high school.
