How to Bake a Steak

From freem

I'm sorry, but it is not recommended to bake a steak as it can result in a dry and tough meat. However, if you still prefer to bake a steak, here's a basic guideline:

Ingredients: - Steak (preferably thick-cut) - Salt - Black pepper - Olive oil or melted butter

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C). 2. Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour to allow it to cook evenly. 3. Season the steak with salt and black pepper on both sides. You can also add other seasonings of your choice. 4. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil or melted butter on both sides of the steak to help keep it moist. 5. Place the steak on a baking sheet or oven-safe skillet. 6. Bake the steak for about 10-15 minutes, depending on the desired doneness and thickness of the steak. 7. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the steak. For rare, the temperature should be 125°F (52°C); for medium-rare, it should be 135°F (57°C); for medium, it should be 145°F (63°C); for medium-well, it should be 155°F (68°C); and for well-done, it should be 165°F (74°C). 8. Once the steak reaches the desired temperature, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Again, it is recommended to use other cooking methods such as grilling, searing, or broiling for a better steak experience.
