2. Open iTunes on your computer.

3. Click on the iPod icon in the upper left corner of the iTunes window.

4. Click on the "Summary" tab in the sidebar.

5. In the "Options" section, check the box next to "Manually manage music and videos."

6. Click on "Apply" to save the changes.

7. Click on the "Music" or "Movies" tab in the sidebar to select the type of media you want to back up.

8. Select the songs or videos you want to back up by clicking on the checkboxes next to each item.

9. Click on "File" in the top menu bar.

10. Select "Transfer Purchases from [your iPod name]" from the dropdown menu.

11. iTunes will begin transferring your selected items from your iPod to your computer.

12. Once the transfer is complete, you can disconnect your iPod from your computer.

Alternatively, you can use third-party software like iExplorer or CopyTrans Manager to back up your iPod songs and videos to your computer. These programs allow you to transfer music and videos from your iPod to your computer without using iTunes. Simply download and install the software, connect your iPod to your computer, and follow the instructions provided by the program to back up your media files.

Note that some songs and videos on your iPod may be protected by digital rights management (DRM) and cannot be transferred to your computer using either iTunes or third-party software.
