From freem

If you're switching to a new computer or reinstalling your operating system, you might want to transfer your OpenOffice or LibreOffice settings so you don't lose your customized settings and preferences. Here's how to back up and transfer your OpenOffice or LibreOffice settings:

1. Locate your OpenOffice or LibreOffice user profile folder. The location of the folder varies depending on your operating system:

- Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\OpenOffice\4 or C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4 - macOS: /Users/username/Library/Application Support/OpenOffice/4 or /Users/username/Library/Application Support/LibreOffice/4 - Linux: /home/username/.config/libreoffice/4 or /home/username/.config/openoffice/4

Note: Replace "username" with your actual username.

2. Copy the entire user profile folder to a backup location, such as an external hard drive or cloud storage service.

3. Install OpenOffice or LibreOffice on your new computer or after reinstalling your operating system.

4. Locate the user profile folder on your new computer or after reinstalling your operating system using the same method as step 1.

5. Delete the contents of the user profile folder on your new computer or after reinstalling your operating system.

6. Paste the user profile folder you backed up in step 2 into the user profile folder on your new computer or after reinstalling your operating system.

7. Open OpenOffice or LibreOffice and verify that your settings and preferences have been transferred.

That's it! You've successfully backed up and transferred your OpenOffice or LibreOffice settings.
