How to Apply Vaginal Cream
Applying vaginal cream is a simple process, but it's important to follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider or the medication's packaging. Here are some general steps to follow when applying vaginal cream:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before and after using the cream.
2. Read the instructions carefully to determine the recommended dosage and frequency of use. Some creams are used once a day, while others are used multiple times per day.
3. Choose a comfortable position to insert the cream. You can lie on your back with your knees bent, stand with one foot on a chair, or squat.
4. Remove the cap from the applicator and fill the applicator with the recommended amount of cream.
5. Gently insert the applicator into the vagina as far as it will comfortably go.
6. Slowly push the plunger of the applicator to release the cream into the vagina.
7. Remove the applicator from the vagina and discard it.
8. Wash your hands again with soap and water.
It's important to use the cream as directed and to finish the full course of treatment, even if your symptoms improve before the end of the treatment period. If you experience any unusual symptoms or side effects while using the cream, contact your healthcare provider.
