How to Adjust Brightness in Photoshop
Adjusting brightness in Photoshop can be done in several ways, but the most common and straightforward method is by using the Levels adjustment layer. Here's how to do it:
1. Open your image in Photoshop. 2. Go to the Layers panel and click on the Adjustment Layer icon (a circle split in half with one side white and the other black). 3. From the dropdown menu that appears, select Levels. 4. In the Levels dialog box that opens, you'll see a histogram that represents the brightness values of your image. Drag the black slider to the right to darken the image, or drag the white slider to the left to brighten it. You can also adjust the midtones by dragging the gray slider. 5. Preview the changes in real-time by clicking the Preview checkbox at the bottom of the dialog box. 6. Once you're satisfied with the adjustments, click OK to apply them to your image.
Note that using the Levels adjustment layer affects the entire image uniformly. If you want to adjust the brightness of specific areas of the image, you can use the Brush tool to paint over those areas with black or white on the Levels adjustment layer mask.
