How to Add a Profile Photo to Your User Account on Ubuntu

From freem

To add a profile photo to your user account on Ubuntu, you can follow these steps:

1. Open the "Settings" application by clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.

2. In the "Settings" window, select the "Users" option from the left-hand menu.

3. Click on your user account in the list of users on the right-hand side of the window.

4. Click on the current profile photo, or the blank space where the photo would be if you haven't set one yet.

5. In the popup window that appears, you can either select an existing photo from your computer by clicking on the "Select from Files" button, or take a new photo with your computer's camera by clicking on the "Take Photo" button.

6. Once you have selected or taken a photo, you can adjust its position and zoom level using the slider at the bottom of the screen.

7. When you're happy with your new profile photo, click on the "Crop" button to save it.

That's it! Your new profile photo should now be visible in the "Users" section of the "Settings" application, as well as on the login screen and in other places where your user account is displayed.
