Antique mirrors can add a touch of elegance and sophistication to any room. Antiquing mirrors is a process that involves removing some of the reflective backing on the mirror's surface, creating an aged or weathered effect. Here are the steps to antique mirrors:

Materials: - Mirror - Glass cleaner - Painter's tape - Spray bottle - Distilled water - White vinegar - Spray paint (gold or silver) - Rubbing alcohol - Paper towels - Paintbrush

Steps: 1. Clean the mirror thoroughly with glass cleaner to remove any dirt or debris. 2. Protect the edges of the mirror with painter's tape. 3. Mix equal parts distilled water and white vinegar in a spray bottle. 4. Spray the mixture onto the back of the mirror. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, then wipe it off with a paper towel. This will remove some of the mirror's reflective coating and create an aged effect. 5. Once the mirror has dried, lightly spray the back of the mirror with gold or silver spray paint. Allow the paint to dry completely. 6. Dampen a paper towel with rubbing alcohol and lightly rub the areas of the mirror where you want to create a more distressed effect. 7. Use a paintbrush to apply a coat of clear wax over the back of the mirror. This will protect the finish and help the antique effect last longer. 8. Remove the painter's tape from the edges of the mirror and clean the front of the mirror with glass cleaner.

Your antique mirror is now ready to display in your home. Enjoy!
