To play as Luigi in Super Mario Bros DS, you need to unlock him first. Here's how to do it: 1. Beat the game as Mario: To unlock Luigi, you must first complete the game as Mario. This means you need to defeat Bowser in World 8's final castle as Mario. 2. Save your game: Once you have beaten the game as Mario, save your game. You can do this by pressing the Start button on the game's title screen, selecting "Save" from the menu, and choosing an empty save slot. 3. Select a saved file: After saving your game, select the saved file you just created. You will see that Mario's icon has been replaced with Luigi's icon. 4. Play as Luigi: Start the game and choose the saved file with Luigi's icon. You will now be playing as Luigi. Note that Luigi plays slightly differently than Mario. He jumps higher but has less traction, which means he slides more when he stops running. Additionally, Luigi's fireballs shoot higher than Mario's but are slower. Use these differences to your advantage as you play through the game again as Luigi!
