3. Collect the semen: The semen can be collected by either an artificial vagina or an electro-ejaculator. In the case of an artificial vagina, a teaser cow or mare may be used to stimulate the bull. The semen is then collected into a sterile container.

4. Load the insemination gun: The insemination gun should be clean and free from any contaminants. The semen is drawn up into the gun using a sterile straw.

5. Insert the insemination gun: The insemination gun is inserted through the cervix and into the uterus. This should be done carefully to avoid injury to the reproductive tract.

6. Deposit the semen: The semen is then deposited into the uterus using the insemination gun. The gun should be removed slowly and carefully to avoid any spillage.

7. Monitor the cow or heifer: After insemination, the cow or heifer should be monitored for signs of heat or pregnancy. If the animal does not become pregnant, AI can be repeated in the next estrus cycle.

It is important to note that artificial insemination should only be performed by trained professionals with the necessary equipment and expertise.
