The Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is a professional certification offered by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). Here are the steps to apply for the CBAP exam: 1. Eligibility Requirements: Ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for the CBAP exam. This includes having at least 7,500 hours of experience in business analysis work over the past 10 years, and 35 hours of Professional Development in Business Analysis (PD Hours). 2. Join the IIBA: You must be a member of the IIBA to apply for the CBAP exam. You can either become a member first or add the CBAP exam application to your membership during the application process. 3. Gather Supporting Documentation: Gather all the necessary supporting documentation, including a copy of your high school diploma or equivalent, your resume, and your PD hours certificate(s). 4. Complete the Application: Log in to your IIBA account and complete the CBAP application form, providing all the required information and documentation. You will also need to pay the application fee at this time. 5. Application Review: Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the IIBA to ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements. 6. Schedule the Exam: If your application is approved, you will receive an email from the IIBA inviting you to schedule your exam. You will have four months from the date of approval to schedule and take the exam. 7. Prepare for the Exam: Use the study materials provided by the IIBA to prepare for the exam. These may include textbooks, online courses, and practice exams. 8. Take the Exam: On the day of the exam, arrive at the testing center on time and bring a government-issued ID with a photo and signature. You will have four hours to complete the exam, which consists of 120 multiple-choice questions. 9. Receive Your Results: You will receive your exam results immediately after completing the exam. If you pass, you will receive a CBAP certification. If you fail, you can retake the exam after waiting for 3 months. Congratulations! You have now successfully completed the CBAP exam application process.
