Adding a watermark to your photos is an effective way to protect your images from unauthorized use or distribution. Here are the steps to add a watermark using Photoshop: 1. Open your image in Photoshop. 2. Create a new layer by clicking on the "New Layer" icon at the bottom of the Layers panel or by pressing "Ctrl+Shift+N" on Windows or "Command+Shift+N" on Mac. 3. Select the Type tool from the toolbar on the left-hand side of the screen. 4. Type the text that you want to use for your watermark. You can use your name or website URL or any other text that you like. 5. Customize the appearance of the text by choosing a font, font size, color, and style from the options available in the Character panel. 6. Position the text where you want it to appear on the image by dragging it with the Move tool. 7. Reduce the opacity of the text layer so that it is partially transparent and does not interfere with the visibility of the underlying image. You can adjust the opacity using the Opacity slider in the Layers panel. 8. Save your image with the watermark by selecting "File" > "Save As" and choosing a file format that supports layers, such as PSD or TIFF. This will preserve the watermark layer so that you can make changes to it later if needed. That's it! Your image now has a watermark that will help protect it from unauthorized use.
