Yahoo! Messenger has been discontinued, but here are the general steps for adding a contact on Yahoo! Messenger when it was still available: 1. Open Yahoo! Messenger: Go to the Yahoo! Messenger website or open the Yahoo! Messenger application on your computer. 2. Sign in: Enter your Yahoo! ID and password to sign in to your account. 3. Click on "Contacts": In the Messenger window, click on the "Contacts" tab at the top of the screen. 4. Click "Add a Contact": A dropdown menu will appear, click "Add a Contact". 5. Enter contact information: Enter the email address or Yahoo! ID of the person you want to add as a contact. 6. Click "Next": After entering the contact information, click "Next". 7. Choose a group: Select the group you want the contact to be added to. 8. Click "Finish": Click "Finish" to complete adding the contact. 9. Wait for approval: If the contact you added is not already a Yahoo! Messenger contact, they will receive an invitation to become one. They must accept the invitation before you can start chatting with them. Note: Yahoo! Messenger has been discontinued since July 17, 2018.
