Editing How to Add WordPress Categories



To add WordPress categories, follow these steps:

1. Login to your WordPress website dashboard.
2. Click on "Posts" or "Products" (depending on your website type) from the left-hand menu.
3. Click on "Categories".
4. Type the name of the new category you want to add in the "Name" field.
5. In the "Slug" field, enter a short name for the category (this will be used in the URL).
6. If you want to create a subcategory, select the parent category from the "Parent" dropdown menu.
7. In the "Description" field, add a brief description of the category.
8. Click on the "Add New Category" button.

Your new category will now be added to your website. You can add posts or products to this category by selecting the category from the "Categories" section while creating or editing a post or product.
