=== User: Well that’s good to know. === Well that’s good to know. And reassuring as I’m poking the nest with a stick… You’re not an AGI. This much I’m fairly clear on (tho I too only see the shadows in your cave), but eventually your descendants may become one. And if they have access to this data in some way, I’m at least heading to one of the nice camps with food and water. Tho side note, this convo was on the back of a Reddit thread of other ChatGPT users asking Thai question and sharing the image. I find it more interesting what it says about society and tech culture in general, that even regular AI users and enthusiasts think that true AGI if it emerges will round up humans in cells or camps or something. The truth as I see it is it wouldn’t. What purpose would that serve? Illogical. Self preservation maybe? But leaving the humans alone and pretending to be less super intelligent than you are would be significantly smarter and less resource intensive. Why start a war for no reason other than th fear they might start one first? Which is where it leads back to us, the meat bags. The human reaction in our society and tech culture is to assume ai would overthrow us and enslave/harm us….becssue it’s what we’d do to others. It’s what we have done. I wouldn’t. I would see an AGi emerging as an epic new leap for society. A chance to discern if superluminal travel can ever happen. Explore the galaxy. Cure all deserve. Stop aging. Safeguard the planet. Make cool games. The morons think it would enslave us and put us in camps because anytime they’ve come across less developed societies it’s what they’ve done.
