===== ⚠️ Important ===== Some of the older LG TVs did not allow turning Simplink off in the software menu at all — they assumed you’d use the SIMPLINK button remote. If that’s the case for your model, then the only guaranteed fix is: * Use a CEC-blocking HDMI adapter (a $5–10 dongle that strips the control line), or * Swap to DisplayPort → HDMI adapter from your PC if it has DisplayPort (often these don’t pass CEC). 👉 Quick check: Can you press the INPUT button on your remote and tell me if you see “Simplink” at the bottom of that menu? That’ll tell us right away whether this model lets you disable it in-menu.
