===== 🧾 2. MeTV Uses Older Syndication Rights & Packages ===== * Many classic TV rerun networks (including MeTV) acquire existing broadcast/syndication packages that studios built up over decades. If the rights to specific episodes weren’t included in the standard package CBS/Paramount sold off decades ago, then those episodes might not be covered under MeTV’s rights — even if they could legally obtain them separately. This can happen even when a network theoretically owns the show’s overall copyright but the distribution rights are split. That’s why some classic shows on TV—especially early seasons or unusual batches—aren’t shown on every network.
