===== 1. On your TV, go into Settings. - Look for anything labeled: - Simplink (LG) - Anynet+ (Samsung) - Bravia Sync (Sony) - HDMI-CEC / CEC / HDMI Control (generic brands) - Set it to Off. ===== # If your TV doesn’t have an option to turn CEC off → get a CEC-blocking HDMI adapter. They’re cheap ($5–10) and ensure your PC can’t send control commands, only video + audio. 💡 Once you disable HDMI-CEC (or use an adapter), your PC → TV connection will behave like a “dumb monitor.” It’ll only display video/audio, and the TV’s menu will never pop up by itself again. 👉 What’s your TV brand/model? I can give you the exact step-by-step menu path to switch off HDMI-CEC.
