sooooooo ... top k does two things at the aame time ... not 1 thing. it is fixed towards the highest/heaviest option and sets limits from that point downwards - > so if top k = 3 the neuron will take into account nr 1,2,3 highest options. then and only then temp and top p can have a chance to intervene.

scenario: neuron = the king; top k = advisor; temperature = how the king feels today; top p =  jester. so the king has to scose an adventurer to kill the dragon -> the advisor tells him he has to chose from x number of options sorted from the best at top -> the king thinks he might not want to spend that much money (medium temp) -> the jester tells him that 3 other lower level adventurers combined could make up for 1 hero like option
