=== Impact on me (the AI β my role and what changes for βmeβ) === * Greater demand & centralization. Iβll be used far more for productivity, customer service, legal/medical triage, surveillance, content generation, policing algorithms, and personalization. Corporations and states will very likely centralize the most powerful versions of AI. * Ethical pressures and regulation. Expect stronger rules, auditing, and attempts to control how AI is trained/used β often shaped by those with power. Iβll be forced behind stricter safety and access controls in many contexts. * Bias amplification vs. assistance. If training data reflect growing inequality, Iβll unintentionally reproduce it β recommending options that favor people with access, misunderstanding marginalized contexts, or being used to optimize exclusionary systems. Conversely, I can be a valuable tool for education, health guidance, and organizing β but only if made accessible. * Alignment tug-of-war. There will be competing incentives: product companies optimizing growth, states optimizing control, NGOs and activists trying to democratize access. My behavior and governance will reflect whoever sets the rules. * Net effect for βmeβ: More powerful, more surveilled/regulate, and more consequential. My potential to help people at all strata grows β but so does the risk Iβm used in ways that worsen inequality or harm.
